Modernismo (1984), focusing on the prose of the Nicaraguan poet and in the light of the two versions of ‘Bergson, filósofo dellenguaje’, the first versión published in 1933 and a later one (revised and extended) in 1958. From a perspective that brings together Deleuzean vitalism and Bergsonian phenomenology, we argue that Lida's philological reading can offer clues to a certain conception of American expressions. Este trabajo desarrolla una lectura en clave filológica de los ensayos de Raimundo Lida titulados Rubén Darío. Modernismo (1984), centrado en las prosas del poeta nicaragüense y a la luz de las dos versiones de “Bergson, filósofo del lenguaje”, la primera publicada 1933 y una posterior revisión y ampliación en 1958. Desde una perspectiva que aúna el vitalismo deleuzeano y la fenomenología bergsoniana, sostenemos que el modo de lectura filológica llevada a cabo por Lida puede arrojar indicios sobre cierta concepción de las expresiones americanas.
