In Mexico, a country at war since 2006 against the ubiquitous enemy of "the drugs" more than ten women die everyday victims of femicide. How is grief expressed in this necroscenario? How is mourning lived and narrated? How does society realize about those losses that we know we have, but t...

How is grief expressed in this necroscenario? How is mourning lived and narrated? How does society realize about those losses that we know we have, but that we cannot yet measure? I will try to answer these questions from the writing of women in Mexico. Through the analysis of the books The Invincible Summer of Liliana by Cristina Rivera Garza and The Water Mass Grave: Disappearances and Feminicides in the Rio de los Remedios, by Lydiette Carrión. I will explore the archives that have been built to create the memories of the victims, which become discursive formations that tell the experience of feminicide and state violence. The memory and the search for the truth that these works propose are crucial for the construction of a countercultural discourse that responds to the affective needs of understanding this violence as a political order that hurts all of those who live in this society.
