Unlike other Tel Quel theoreticians, such as Kristeva, Ricardou or Sollers, in which the revolt, the utopia and the revolution topics appears with emphatic insistence, in Barthes these are denied or relegated from the critical discourse. We are therefore interested in tracing the nuances of the barthesian position, interrogating his particular "anarchism" (as he defines himself in The Inaugural Lesson), in deepening the way in which aesthetics and politics are linked in his theory, and analyzing an ethos in which Proust and Brecht seem to coexist in the always ambiguous and indeterminate space of the text. En cada ensayo de Roland Barthes puede encontrarse la confluencia de dos movimientos: por un lado, la afirmación del potencial crítico del Texto, la Escritura y la Literatura; y por otro, una cierta retracción, una desconfianza, un límite para pensar la política. A diferencia de otros teóricos de Tel Quel, como Kristeva, Ricardou o Sollers, en los que la revuelta, la utopía y la revolución aparecen con una insistencia casi enfática, en Barthes dichos tópicos aparecen denegados o relegados del discurso crítico. Interesa por lo tanto rastrear los matices de la posición barthesiana, interrogar su particular “anarquismo” (tal como él se define en La lección inaugural), profundizar el modo en el que estética y política se enlazan en su teoría, y analizar un ethos en el que tanto Proust como Brecht parecen convivir en el espacio siempre ambiguo e indeterminado del texto.
