Reconstructing his tangled and almost unknown journey will invoice rehearsing some explanation in the face of the decisive silence that blocks his memory. Here I shall explore three suppositions for the thick silence that weighs upon Uviedo: the radically ephemeral and unrepeatable, character of his “sociotheatrical acts”, his status as a pariah, and the excessiveness of his acts and fabrications. La pista de Juan Carlos Uviedo apareció al indagar sobre el Taller de Investigaciones Teatrales (TiT) y el grupo Cucaño, dos experiencias de activismo artístico que tuvieron lugar en Buenos Aires y Rosario durante los años de la última dictadura militar. Reconstruir su enredado y casi desconocido periplo supone ensayar alguna explicación ante el rotundo mutis que obtura su memoria. Ensayo aquí algunas hipótesis para el espeso silencio que pesa sobre Uviedo: el carácter radicalmente efímero e irrepetible de sus “hechos socio-teatrales”, su condición de paria y la desmesura de sus actos y fabulaciones.
