In that journey Tuñón makes an attempt at different ways in his writing works introducing them into his journalism. With certain peculiarities somewhat inaugural, it is apparent here there is a definite passage in his literary and professional itinerary, as an avant-garde and social artist: the transition in his chronicles towards becoming a political-activist, militant and antiwar writer. We study the characteristics that in these chronicles resent the committed poet who insistently appears later in his production and allow us to review some of the learned and rehearsed methods in his journalism. Next, the oscillations in Tuñón’s war readings, his vacillating distance from the daily’s standpoint and his diffuse approach-not without tensions and differences-to some of the public manifestations about the Chaco War made in those years by left-wing groups and by the communists El artículo examina las notas periodísticas sobre la Guerra del Chaco (1932-1935) publicadas por González Tuñón en el diario Crítica (1932) como corresponsal. En ese viaje Tuñón ensaya e introduce en su periodismo distintos modos de su labor escrituraria. Con ciertas peculiaridades más o menos inaugurales, aquí se modula claramente un cierto pasaje en su itinerario literario, profesional y de artista vanguardista y social: el tránsito en las crónicas hacia el escritor de acción política, militante y antibelicista. Se analizan los rasgos que en estas crónicas reenvían al poeta comprometido que aparece insistentemente en un tiempo posterior en su producción y permiten revisar algunas de las formas de lo aprendido y ensayado en su periodismo. Seguidamente, las oscilaciones en la lectura de la guerra de Tuñón, su distancia pendular de la propuesta del diario y su acercamiento difuso (con tensiones y diferencias) a algunas de las manifestaciones públicas sobre la Guerra del Chaco realizadas en esos años por grupos de izquierda y por los comunistas.
