Through the study of the notions of woman, motherhood and resistant body such as they have been worked in these short stories, this essay shows some of Valenzuela’s most recurrent syllogisms. It points out also that the construction of a resistant body as a suture element of both identities –of the woman as much as the mother, as woman being mother or mother being womanis carried out through a difficult work on oblivion and memory as the two faces of the same and expensive coin. Siguiendo los fundamentos de la teoría de los modelos de mundo, este artículo analiza tres relatos de Luisa Valenzuela recopilados en Cuentos Completos y uno más. A través del estudio de las nociones de mujer, maternidad y cuerpo resistente tal y como son trabajadas en estos cuentos, este ensayo da a conocer algunos de los silogismos más recurrentes de su quehacer literario. Pone de relieve, además, que la construcción de un cuerpo resistente como elemento de sutura de ambas identidades –tanto la de la mujer como de la madre, de la mujer madre o de la madre mujer– se lleva a cabo a través de un arduo trabajo con el olvido y la memoria como las dos caras de una misma y cara moneda.
