Here I propose that, unlike Berdichevsky's early work, Miriam is a novel that does not represent what has been preserved in the text or in memory, but what has been lost. This being its distinctive feature, the novel revolves around the impossible testimony of the forgotten as will be seen in the narrative analysis and, mainly, of the different figures of narration. Thus, this article emphasizes the fact that the novel, as a broken knitted, is not only composed of the preserved textual fragments, but also, and perhaps above all, of the spaces that occur in the fissures of the text. Este artículo aborda la crisis de la memoria en la novela de Berdichevsky, Miriam. Aquí propongo que, a diferencia de la obra temprana de Berdichevsky, Miriam es una novela que no representa lo que ha sido conservado en el texto o en la memoria, sino lo que se ha perdido. Siendo este su rasgo distintivo, la novela gira en torno al testimonio imposible de lo olvidado como se verá en el análisis narrativo y, principalmente, de las diversas figuras narrativas de Miriam. Así, este artículo hace hincapié en el hecho de que la novela, como un tejido roto, no se compone solamente de los fragmentos textuales conservados, sino también, y acaso sobre todo, de los espacios que se producen en las fisuras del texto.
