The history of this interaction is divided into three historical processes, each characterized by a different situational logic. The change in preferences, which is a product of the change in situational logic, ultimately explains the emergence of the self-defence groups. Durante 2013 y 2014 emergieron grupos de autodefensa en diferentes municipios de Michoacán. Este trabajo reconstruye, a partir de teoría de juegos, la interacción entre la sociedad michoacana de Tierra Caliente y los grupos del narcotráfico que dominaron la región en diferentes períodos -Los Valencia, Los Zetas, La Familia, Los Caballeros templarios-. La historia de esta interacción es dividida en tres procesos históricos, cada uno caracterizado por una lógica situacional diferente. El cambio de preferencias, producto del cambio de lógica situacional, explica en última instancia el surgimiento de los grupos de autodefensas.
