In this work, we observe the concern for ourselves, going from the organizing function of God to the configuration of the political institutions that administer the life of human beings. Este trabajo muestra la contribución del concepto de gubernamentalidad empleado por Michel Foucault para conocer y entender la tecnología de la confesión en su práctica política. A partir del poder pastoral Foucault va haciendo un recorrido hasta llegar a las tecnologías del poder que se emplearon en el aspecto político a través de un actor político como lo fue el rey y, posteriormente, el gobernante. En este trabajo, se observa la preocupación por nosotros mismos pasando de la función organizadora que tuvo Dios hasta llegar a la configuración de las instituciones políticas que administran la vida de los seres humanos.
