That instability, although many times it has inflected towards panic and paralysis, can also be source of social invention. Under that intention, the text reviews some current operations on the unforeseen, which involve States, capitalist com-panies, social organizations, detecting various ways of linking with it.Among them, improvisation, which appears as a willingness to rearticulate knowledge, resources and projects in contexts of uncertainty. The article seeks to reflect on a use of improvisation that is not merely instrumental (such as that of capitalist valorization) but that is capable of feeding a politics of invention, understood as a fundamental feature for a politics of equality and justice. El artículo explora algunas posibilidades de la coyuntura pandémica a partir de la hipótesis de que la incertidumbre que la signa implica no poder hacerse imágenes estables de futuro y que dicha inestabilidad, aunque muchas veces se ha decantado por el pánico y la parálisis, también puede ser fuente de invención social. Bajo esa intención, el texto repasa algunas operaciones actuales sobre lo imprevisto, que involucran Estados, empresas, organizaciones sociales, detectando diversos modos de vincularse con aquél. Entre ellos, la improvisación, que aparece como una disposición a rearticular saberes, recursos y proyectos en contextos de incertidumbre. El artículo busca reflexionar sobre un uso de la improvisación que no sea meramente instrumental (como el de la valorización capitalista) sino que sea capaz alimentar una política de la invención, entendida como un rasgo fundamental para una política de la igualdad y la justicia.
