Sumario:In this article the various problems of the definition of bulimia for psychoa-nalysis are circumscribed. Since it is a symptomatic presentation on the rise in epidemio-logical surveys, it is necessary for the psychoanalytic theoretical framework to have a definition of bulimia that allows it to operate efficiently in clinical formalization. In turn, this movement implies an apprehension of the experience with another degree of rigor. We take Freudian research on the subject, as well as the impulsive character of bulimia, coordinated on the subject that Lacan emphasized. From there we will propose a tilting movement with the elaborations of the most important analysts within the perspective of Lacanian psychoanalysis, as well as we will locate certain differential coordinates be-tween bulimia and obesity. In a final section we present the conclusions we reached, as well as the subsequent lines of investigation.
