After presenting some remarks on the historical context of production in early Weimar Germany, as well as some notes on Heller’s biographical and intellectual trajectory, the text focuses on our current reception context. Specifically, on the problem of indoctrination in public universities, as it has been denounced in recent times by some political spaces in Argentina. Insofar as it allows us to reflect on the inherent connection between education and politics, this paper argues that Heller’s text serves as an important contribution to the debate on the nature and scope of alleged indoctrination, as well as an incentive to advocate for the civic-political role of university education.
