In order to accurately reconstruct the context of emergence of these associations, we look at specific changes in the relation between politics and youths and how it manifests in universities for the past few decades.  Next, we analyze their social media postings, as well as interviews with their representatives in journalistic media. From these sources, we track these associations’ histories, agendas, and principles. The hypothesis of this paper is that these associations, established in 2018, constitute a direct response to the incorporation and institutionalization of gender and diversity perspectives in public universities. Their links with NGOs will be examined trough the concept of “conservative neo-activism”. El artículo es una primera aproximación al actual fenómeno de constitución de agrupaciones estudiantiles de derecha en las universidades públicas argentinas. Se analizarán dos expresiones: la Agrupación Estudiantil por la Formación y el Liderazgo de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo y Alternativa, surgida en la Facultad de Ciencia Política y Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Para reconstruir el contexto de emergencia de estas organizaciones estudiantiles se retomarán las principales transformaciones del vínculo entre juventudes y política y su expresión en el plano de la militancia universitaria a lo largo de las últimas décadas. Luego, a partir del análisis de sus publicaciones en redes sociales, así como de entrevistas a sus referentes en medios periodísticos, se presentarán las historias, agendas y banderas identitarias de ambas agrupaciones. La principal hipótesis sostiene que estos espacios fundados en 2018 son una reacción estudiantil conservadora a la incorporación de la agenda de género y diversidad en el movimiento universitario y su institucionalización en el ámbito de la educación superior. Sus vínculos con organizaciones no gubernamentales serán examinados a la luz del concepto de “neo-activismo conservador”.
