| Sumario: | The Iranian nuclear program and the threat it has been generating in the Middle East since 2003, prompted the most important States in the region to embark on a series of strategies to mitigate the possession and development of nuclear weapons by Iran. In this research, the nuclear capabilities of Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are analyzed and compared, in order to define their dissuasive status vis-à-vis the Islamic Republic of Iran between 2003 and 2018. Adopting as main variables the economic capacities, the resources used in a nuclear program and the limitations and political support to them, this research concludes that the threat that generates the Iranian nuclear program triggers an arms race between the 3 States named above against the new deterrent scenario. |
