Two topics will be investigated in this research. On the one hand, the German cinema and the discourse over Nazism. On the other hand, the considerable change produced as a consequence of international geopolitical vicissitudes, discourse changes, discourse appropriation and uses made in the past into the German cinema. Finally, the German film “It happened on July 20th” was a trigger factor of this analysis. According to Foucault’s point of view, it can be observed as a link in a complex chain of discourses. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar algunas representaciones discursivas  cinematográficas de los soldados alemanes del Tercer Reich en el contexto del rearme alemán de 1955 y el quiebre que se produjo entonces respecto a los años anteriores. Para ello se analizará, por un lado, el cine alemán y su discurso durante el nazismo; y, por otro, el enorme cambio que se produjo en aquel como consecuencia de las vicisitudes geopolíticas internacionales, de los cambios discursivos, apropiación de otros discursos y los usos del pasado que tuvieron lugar por entonces en el cine alemán. Finalmente, como disparador de nuestro análisis tomamos la película alemana “Sucedió un 20 de julio”, a la que, siguiendo a Foucault, entendemos como un dispositivo que se inserta en una compleja red de discursos.
