This juncture forced the actors involved to make decisions in this regard and taking a stand on the issue, generating a complex process of rearrangements. This work is close to these events, which ended with the nationalization of the oil company YPF in April 2012. We will focus our analysis in the early stages of public policy, the emergence of the issue and its inclusion in the government's agenda of the National Executive Power and its development until the decision making in alliance with the country's oil-producing provinces. La crisis energética que afectó a la Argentina tuvo varias causas y sus consecuencias obtuvieron máxima visibilidad a fines del año 2011 cuando la balanza comercial en la materia dio un saldo alarmantemente negativo. La coyuntura obligó a los actores implicados a tomar decisiones al respecto, generando un proceso complejo de reacomodamientos y toma de posición frente a la cuestión. Este trabajo se aproxima a dichos sucesos, que terminaron con la expropiación de la empresa hidrocarburífera YPF en Abril de 2012. Enfocaremos nuestro análisis en las primeras etapas de la política pública, en el surgimiento de la cuestión y su inclusión en la agenda gubernativa del Poder Ejecutivo Nacional y su desarrollo hasta la toma de decisiones en alianza con los gobernadores de las provincias productoras de hidrocarburos.
