The project in question had as its specific objectives: (1) To analyse information from judicial and journalistic sources concerning different cases of police abuse in the Province of Santa Fe; (2) Explore existing national and internationalstandards and protocols dealing with the rational use of the police force; 3) To promote meetings and exchanges between police officers and representatives of the Ministry of Security and the Human Rights Secretariat of the Province of Santa Fe. This report seeks to reflect the experiences and results obtained during the working year, as well as the obstacles, debates and learning that were presented as a result of the exchange between police personnel and team members in Recreo and Rosario during October 2019. A lo largo del presente trabajo se recupera parte de la experiencia transitada durante los años 2018 y 2019 por el Centro de Investigaciones en Seguridad, Estado y Sociedad (CISES), en el marco del Proyecto de Extensión denominado “Seguridad y Derechos Humanos”. Este último tenía como objetivos específicos: 1) analizar la información proveniente de fuentes judiciales y periodísticas referidas a diferentes casos de abusos policiales en la Provincia de Santa Fe; 2) explorar la normativa y protocolos vigentes a nivel nacional e internacional que abordan el uso racional de la fuerza policial; 3) promover instancias de encuentro e intercambio entre agentes de la Policía y representantes del Ministerio de Seguridad y de la Secretaría de Derechos Humanos de la Provincia de Santa Fe.
