I analyze five sorts of these things —symbolic objects and moments— that tie gay love stories appeared in contemporary Argentinean cultural production. The aim of this paper is to observe how these things, in a generic sense, were central in specific loving plots and which senses they introduced in them.To understand couples’ joining, first I focus on the way that some sacred objects take part in the relationships. Secondly, I analyze ludic dimension within the couples, attending the way they play. The third axe is about the dramatic dimension of love stories so I concentrate on arguments and reconciliations. In a ritual way, travels are taken as the forth thing that have the potential to gather the partners or take them apart. The fifth axe, on imagination, allows me to show how mental activity is able to unite the lovers. As I try to show, all these things as part of a long chain that generates a common partner code.
