The provisional and partial reflections arise from two dimensions of the Laboratory's recent work. On one hand, they are linked to a series of institutional redefinitions which are currently in process; they deal with the professionalization of the archive. On the other, they represent some considerations arising from the beginning of the archival processing of two documentary groups. The first one is part of Molina y Vedia Repository: 379 plans he produced during his work as a design architect, and his collection of specialized magazines. All these documents were donated to the University and are in custody of LabDA. The second group is part of Leston Repository: 677 plans the architect created in various areas of his professional and academic work. While these documents are in custody of their creator, LabDA has been identifying, classifying, and digitizing them. Este trabajo se propone reflexionar sobre el papel contemporáneo de los archivos de arquitectura a partir de la experiencia del Laboratorio de Documentos de Arquitectura (LabDA) del Instituto de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Escuela de Hábitat y Sostenibilidad de la Universidad Nacional de San Martín. Las reflexiones que se presentan –provisorias y parciales– surgen de dos dimensiones del trabajo reciente en el Laboratorio: por un lado, están vinculadas a una serie de redefiniciones institucionales que actualmente están en proceso, relacionadas con la profesionalización del archivo. Por otro, se trata de algunas consideraciones surgidas del inicio del procesamiento archivístico de dos grupos documentales. El primero es una parte del Fondo Molina y Vedia: 379 planos que realizó durante su labor como arquitecto proyectista y su colección hemerográfica, conformada por 906 revistas; todos estos documentos fueron donados a la universidad y están en custodia del LabDA. El segundo grupo es parte del Fondo Leston: 677 planos que el arquitecto realizó en diversos ámbitos de su actuación profesional y académica. Si bien estos documentos se encuentran en custodia de su productor, el LabDA ha comenzado con su identificación, clasificación y digitalización.
