The task that architecture must take on cannot, of course, be expressed in the anachronistic search for the re-proposition of lost or extinct somatic traits, but instead as an awareness of the value of our genetic heritage in the contemporary western context. This assumption of responsibility is necessary not for an autarkic affirmation of belonging, but as an indication of will in the debate on the city's destiny. In describing the works built over a period of about thirty years on Italian soil, a path of compositional research is outlined, aimed at placing past, present and future in lively dialogue. Proyectar en un país denso de estratificaciones como Italia implica asumir una responsabilidad hacia la comunidad. La tarea que debe emprender la arquitectura no puede expresarse obviamente en la búsqueda anacrónica de una reproposición de rasgos somáticos perdidos o extintos sino, por el contrario, como una conciencia del valor de nuestro patrimonio genético en el contexto occidental contemporáneo. Esta asunción de responsabilidad es necesaria no tanto para una afirmación autárquica de pertenencia, sino como una indicación de voluntad para el debate sobre el destino de la ciudad. Al describir las obras realizadas durante un período de aproximadamente treinta años en suelo italiano, se traza un camino de investigación compositiva destinado a situar el pasado, el presente y el futuro en un diálogo estimulante.
