Can graphic and written images evoke images of well-being that are able to shape dreamed spaces; places where to dream, i.e., where to dream that it would be possible to dream?Architecture studies are at the crossroads between practice and theory, construction and reflection, active life and contemplative life. The action-reflection conjunction is uncertain and complex, especially when architects in Spain are required technical knowledge. Thus, one might wonder if studies should also teach to take a step back to consider or reconsider the building work in progress or the already built work. ¿Enseñar a construir o a pensar? ¿A proyectar y edificar o a reflexionar? La arquitectura ¿requiere paredes y techos? Los materiales con los que se edifica ¿son solo los que habitualmente se utilizan en obra? Las imágenes gráficas y escritas ¿pueden suscitar imágenes de bienestar, configurando espacios soñados, lugares donde soñar, donde soñar que se podría soñar?Los estudios de arquitectura se hallan en una encrucijada entre la práctica y la teoría, entre la construcción y la reflexión, la vida activa y la vida contemplativa. La conjunción entre la acción y la reflexión es incierta y difícil, sobre todo cuando los conocimientos técnicos son los que se exigen al arquitecto en España, pero cabría preguntarse si los estudios no deberían enseñar también a dar un paso atrás para considerar o reconsiderar la obra en ciernes o ejecutada.
