Many of them came from Argentine schools where discussion processes and testing of new ways of teaching architecture had taken place linking it to social reality and militant practice issues such as Taller Total of Córdoba, the Workshops of La Plata and the National and Popular Workshops of Buenos Aires. Once in Mexico, many architects worked in various universities where renewal processes had also taken place, for example, the Self-Government Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the discussions in Puebla and the creation of the Metropolitan Autonomous University Azcapotzalco and Xochimilco. Based on interviews with several exiled architects, the article seeks to characterize and measure the circulation of professionals as well as to identify the dialogues dealing with their significant experiences, which, in turn, enables to know the impact of exile trajectories on continuities and transformations in the Latin American teaching of architecture. El exilio forzado por la persecución política y la dictadura cívico-militar generó el arribo de muchos profesionales arquitectos/as argentinos/as a México desde 1974. Gran parte de ellos provenía de las escuelas argentinas donde se daban procesos de discusión y ensayo de nuevas formas de enseñanza de la arquitectura, vinculándola a las problemáticas de la realidad social y la práctica militante, como el Taller Total de Córdoba, los talleres de La Plata y los Talleres Nacionales y Populares de Buenos Aires. Al arribar a México, algunos se insertaron a trabajar en diversas universidades del país donde también ocurrían procesos de renovación como el Autogobierno Arquitectura de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), las discusiones en Puebla y la creación de las Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco y Xochimilco. A partir de un trabajo de entrevistas a varios arquitectos/as exiliados/as, el artículo apunta a caracterizar y dimensionar la circulación de profesionales e identificar los diálogos entre dichas experiencias significativas, lo que permite conocer el impacto de las trayectorias exiliares en las continuidades y transformaciones de la enseñanza latinoamericana de arquitectura.
