It aims to blur the boundaries between architectural theory and practice linking the research topics addressed by Flores & Prats’ studio to the academic activities developed by the School of Architecture of Barcelona. Grounded on their works, their training process for students and their fruitful relationships with artists and actors of other disciplines, Flores and Prats pose their concern for both the present situation of architecture as a discipline and their peers’ professional formation. They reflect on the difficulties of issues related to building and city rehabilitation based on their own academic and project process experience. They deal with the creative stage as well as the previous historical and social assessment as necessary means to become aware of the actual context within which each project will be carried out. Esta conversación, iniciada en el marco del 10º Congreso Rosarino de Estudiantes de Arquitectura (CREA), intenta desdibujar los límites entre teoría y práctica arquitectónica, buscando enlazar los temas de investigación propios del despacho de arquitectura Flores & Prats con la actividad académica que desarrollan en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Barcelona. A través de sus obras, los ejercicios que construyen para los alumnos y del fructífero vínculo con artistas y actores de otras disciplinas los arquitectos presentan su preocupación por la situación actual de la disciplina y la formación de sus pares arquitectos. El accionar reflexivo de este equipo se presenta atravesado por la problemática de construir y rehabilitar ciudad que, desde su experiencia proyectual y académica, da cuenta de una necesaria etapa para el ejercicio creativo que busca profundizar en el conocimiento de la realidad que envuelve cada proyecto, desde una dimensión histórica y social que es necesario valorar antes de intervenir.
