Sumario:This paper addresses the issue of competencies integrating different theoretical contributions that allow its activation in a variety of contexts. The main focus in the current studies around the competencies does not limit its conception to aggregate components –knowledge, skills or attitudes–but these are presented as processes that mobilize and integrate such resources related to particular situations. The perspective that is assumed in this paper proposes an analysis of the competencies as structural and functional configuration constitutive and constituting of individual and social subjectivity of an active and interactive situated person. In context of ambiguity and uncertainty, the need to develop meaningful and significant learning open to change, creation and experimentation demand a professional competency–based training pretended as a constructive–interpretative process in permanent “dialogue” with a historical and changing reality product and production of new forms of subjectivity.
