Sumario:New technologies have revolutionized the way heritage is managed and preserved. Today, in a world dominated by global hyperconnectivity and a technology-driven society thirsty for new narratives and novel experiences, we are required to reinvent the way we experience and share heritage. Thus, artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key technologies for the digital transformation of businesses. This article is based on a descriptive and exploratory methodology, in which qualitative characteristics were examined through bibliographic research and background research on the use of AI, its potential for implementation, and its relationship to the enhancement of tourism heritage, in order to meet the main objectives of the research: to understand the impact of the use of AI in promoting the preservation, conservation, and understanding of cultural heritage to audiences that demand and need increasingly personalized experiences; to investigate the benefits, challenges, and ethical issues of the use of AI; and, finally, to analyze the Diaguita Ancestral Route in the town of Valle Fértil.
