This work is part of a research that aims to recognize and analyze the characteristics of digital culture and literature magazines in the Argentine intellectual field. This itinerary began with the study of Argentine writers’ blogs (personal spaces), and then extended – through the development of web formats and social platforms – to collective projects that offer production alternatives regarding online social platforms. As a new item in a series of articles based on the nature of digital-born magazines in Argentina, we offer a first methodological answer to the question that authors have raised for the study of paper publications: how to read a digital magazine.
The hypothesis that guides this methodological proposal is that digital magazines are offered as vehicles to understand the state of cultural, literary and intellectual production in Argentina, both in terms of aesthetic and themes, as well as in the discussion of ideas – in the middle of the influence that analog and digital formats has in the discussion agenda. Publications projects are addressed to analyse specific policies of publication, self-identification, positioning and different types of intervention in the intellectual and literary field. |
