description This article offers a reconstruction of a class-sequence related to the discussion of abortion, developed within the context of an optional subject entitled Current Philosophical Debates thought to 5th year students at Colegio Nacional "Rafael Hernández", Universidad Nacional de La Plata, during the first semester of 2018. The aim of the article is to point out the selection criteria of materials and texts, to offer explanations about the methodology of classes and to draw some conclusions regarding how to address the subject at school as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the adopted views.
