Sumario:We reflect on Pedagogy as a disciplining practical knowledge arising from the European modernity by means of an exclusion operation that hinders the possibility to acknowledge the concurrent presence of other traditions of thought. With base on the elaborations of Latin American critical thinkers, we attempt to outline some epistemological keys to propose pedagogies of the South, checking our own tradition of educative thinking through José Martí, José Carlos Mariátegui, and Augusto Salazar Bondy.
