description In the last few years, we have been working on reopening spaces and renovating the discourse presented by the Municipal Museum in the city of Necochea (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). This article reviews the theoretical approaches that were taken into account and the activities that were carried out from a gender perspective. From this approach, we analyze the old museum text used at the Regional Historical Museum of Necochea, comparing the outline the new script within the framework of social inclusion and other social factors that were not previously considered, including gender. Finally, we focus on the application of this perspective to a museum hall about indigenous settlement and current developments based on research by the archaeology and anthropology research unit in Necochea (CONICET), in addition to the museum work.
