Thus, previsions for the academic year had to be modified considering the circumstances. In the case of National Universities, although not exclusively in them, a care protocol is followed. This protocol has fundamentally replaced, in a very short time, the intersubjective space that was fostered in the classroom by one that uses virtual communications. In this text, we will address some terms that, as if they were icebergs (what distance education is, what role web platforms play, which languages we use), will allow us to reflect on the present scenarios and, especially, to focus on the possible changes that can be made in articulation with the future that we are shaping today. En marzo del 2020, la situación de las universidades tuvo una modificación acorde con los nuevos tiempos experimentados en Argentina como consecuencia de la pandemia. Esto hizo que las previsiones para el año académico tuvieran que modificarse, atendiendo a las circunstancias. En el caso de las universidades nacionales, aunque no exclusivamente en ellas, se sigue un protocolo de cuidados que, fundamentalmente, ha sustituido en muy corto tiempo el espacio intersubjetivo que se propiciaba en el aula por uno mediado por pantallas. En este texto intentaremos atender a unos términos que, como si se tratara de icebergs (qué es la educación a distancia, qué rol juegan las plataformas, qué lenguajes utilizamos), nos permitirán reflexionar en torno de los escenarios presentes y, en especial, enfocarnos en los posibles cambios que puedan recogerse, articulándose con el futuro que estamos hoy configurando.
