González Revista de Filosofía biografía modernización secularización The modernization process experienced in Argentina between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries had, among its many aspects, the necessary construction of figures offered as models for urban and modern subjectivities, as part of the repertoire of symbolic modalities affiliated to the culture of progress, urbanism and social order, among other founding characteristics of our modernity. In this sense, we are interested in tracing the construction of the figure of Joaquín V. González in the pages of the Revista de Filosofía founded by José Ingenieros (published between 1915 and 1929), in which he intervenes as author but also as the subject of a series of texts that offer, from a secularized perspective, the itinerary of an exemplary life that refunctionalizes the role of the intellectual-politician at a time of important socio-political and cultural changes. El proceso de modernización experimentado en Argentina en el entresiglos XIX-XX contó, entre sus muchas vertientes, con la necesaria construcción de figuras ofrecidas como modélicas para las subjetividades urbanas y modernas, como parte del repertorio de modalidades simbólicas afiliadas a la cultura del progreso, del urbanismo y del ordenamiento social, entre otras características fundantes de nuestra modernidad. En ese sentido, nos interesa rastrear la construcción de la figura de Joaquín V. González en las páginas de la Revista de Filosofía fundada por José Ingenieros (editada entre 1915 y 1929), en las cuales interviene como autor, pero también como objeto de una serie de textos que ofrecen, desde una perspectiva secularizada, el itinerario de una vida ejemplar que refuncionaliza el rol del intelectual-político en un momento de importantes cambios socio-políticos y culturales.
