Through close readings centered on textual, contextual and intertextual details, this essay emphasizes both the poetics and the ethics of innovation/renovation inscribed in Las noventa Habanas.   La colección de cuentos de Dainerys Machado Vento, Las noventa Habanas (2019), se estudia a contraluz de los archivos orales, visuales y escritos acumulados en la intersección del eje temporal de los 1990—o sea, la crisis conocida en Cuba como El Período Especial en Tiempos de Paz—con el eje espacial de las noventa millas entre Cuba y La Florida. Por medio de lecturas atentas al detalle textual, contextual e intertextual, se hace hincapié en la poética y la ética de innovación/renovación planteada por el Las noventa Habanas.
