Sumario:This article discusses the perception of confusion, entanglement, misunderstanding, opacity, and the enigmatic nature of Guamán Poma’s Nueva corónica y buen Gobierno that displaced this work, for much of the twentieth century, to the margins of historical studies. To this end, I briefly discuss examples of apparent gaps and errors in this book and propose that they allow a glimpse of the interstices in Andean pluriversality under the Spanish colonial regime. Also, I deconstruct the critical discourse of Porras Barrenechea on “the Indian chronicle” from a decolonial reflection that reveals Guaman Poma’s work as a textual space of pluriversality.
