Sumario:In this work I try to analyze the book of stories, Tales of love, madness and death, de Horacio Quiroga. From this perspective, I point out the dynamics developed between the currents of modernism and naturalism, configuring a complex sense based on procedures and images that constitute paradoxical and surprising effects. I try to develop the tension that characterizes Horacio Quiroga's prose in his own way, the axis of the disease, and how it takes on a unique shape in the context of the early years of the 20th century.
