Inequality in access to formal education was a tangible fact in numerous sectors of the population throughout the world, especially in countries with the greatest difficulties in their development. But the pandemic also inaugurated new ways of learning and teaching for many students and teachers, and in the case of higher education, it forcefully reinstated the founding principles of distance learning, providing opportunities for busy adults who could not access the studies in institutions with face-to-face modality. Convened by the Secretariat of University Policies, the National University of Patagonia San Juan Bosco -UNPSJB- together with eight other universities carried out a study about the actions developed from the emergency situation generated by pandemic, which forced the university system to adapt the pedagogical, scientific and social continuity of its academic offer, its research, its relationship with society and its forms of institutional management. The working group was made up of representatives of all faculties, coordinated by the Permanent Institutional Evaluation Program. In this work, several of the opinions and experiences shared by professors, students and researchers of the UNPSJB during the pandemic stage are recovered, in order to recognize and understand the educational processes that have arisen in an institution that, from the emergence of these phenomena, has changed in some of its practices and will surely continue to transform.

La pandemia 2020/2021 nos enrostró un contexto difícil, plagado de contradicciones. La desigualdad en el acceso a la educación formal constituyó un hecho tangible en numerosos sectores de la población en todo el mundo, sobre todo en los países con mayores dificultades en su desarrollo. Pero la pandemia también inauguró nuevos modos de aprender y de enseñar para muchos estudiantes y docentes, y en el caso de la educación superior reinstaló con fuerza los principios fundacionales de la educación a distancia, brindando oportunidades a personas adultas ocupadas que no podían acceder a los estudios en las instituciones con modalidad presencial. Convocada por la Secretaría de Políticas Universitarias, la Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco, junto a otras ocho universidades, realizó un estudio acerca de las acciones desarrolladas a partir de la situación de emergencia generada por la pandemia, lo que obligó al sistema universitario a adaptar la continuidad pedagógica, científica y social de su oferta académica, su investigación, su relación con la sociedad y sus formas de gestión institucional. El grupo de trabajo estuvo integrado por representantes de todas las Facultades, con la coordinación del Programa de Evaluación Institucional Permanente. En este trabajo se recuperan varias de las opiniones y experiencias compartidas por profesores, estudiantes e investigadores de la UNPSJB durante la etapa de pandemia, para poder reconocer y comprender los procesos educativos suscitados en una institución que a partir de la irrupción de estos fenómenos, ha cambiado en algunas de sus prácticas y seguramente seguirá transformándose. A pandemia 2020/2021 colocou-nos diante de um contexto difícil e repleto de contradições. A desigualdade no acesso à educação formal foi um fato tangível em inúmeros setores da população em todo o mundo, especialmente nos países com maiores dificuldades em seu desenvolvimento. Mas a pandemia também inaugurou novas formas de aprender e ensinar para muitos alunos e professores e, no caso do ensino superior, restabeleceu com força os princípios fundadores do ensino a distância, abrindo oportunidades para adultos ocupados que não podiam acessar os estudos em instituições com atendimento presencial. modalidade presencial.
