Throughout the economic history of our country, several companies linked to the production of industrial goods and services have been located there, especially in the metal-mechanic, agro-industrial, chemical and food sectors, among others. One of the main nodes of this axis is the city of Campana and Zárate, in the province of Buenos Aires, which since the beginning of the 20th century has been a central point in the industrial and economic development of Argentina in general. In different stages of productive development this territory had a dynamic that allowed adapting and reconfiguring from the changes in the forms of organization of work and production. This article aims to know and analyze the process of consolidation of the Northern Industrial Corridor as an industrial region, with special emphasis on the city of Campana. At the same time, we will link this phenomenon with the expansion of its urban environment and the dynamics of its social structure, in such a way that it allows us to think about the capital-labour-territory relationship as a complex concept that is fundamental to the analysis of the world of work and production. La línea que une las grandes áreas metropolitanas de Buenos Aires y Rosario conforma un eje industrial y económico que podemos denominar “corredor industrial norte”. Allí se han localizado a lo largo de la historia económica de nuestro país diversas empresas vinculadas a la producción de bienes y servicios de base industrial, especialmente del sector metalmecánico, agroindustrial, química y alimenticio, entre otros. Uno de los nodos principales de ese eje es el que conforman las ciudades de Campana y Zárate, en la provincia de Buenos Aires, que desde principios del siglo XX constituyó con momentos de auge y de decadencia un punto central en el desarrollo industrial y económico de la Argentina en general. En diferentes etapas del desarrollo productivo este territorio tuvo una dinámica que permitió adaptarse y reconfigurarse partir de los cambios en las formas de organización del trabajo y la producción. Este artículo tiene como objetivo conocer y analizar el proceso de consolidación del corredor industrial norte como una región industrial, poniendo especial énfasis en la ciudad de Campana. Al mismo tiempo vincularemos este fenómeno con la expansión de su entorno urbano y la dinámica de su estructura social, de manera tal que nos permita pensar la relación capital-trabajo-territorio como un concepto complejo fundamental para analizar el mundo del trabajo y la producción. En términos metodológicos se utilizó material fotográfico, cartográfico y estadístico recopilado de diversas fuentes, como así también de elaboración propia. Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
