Este trabajo se desprende del interrogante acerca de si hay una matriz social primaria que permite que el bebé se conecte con su realidad circundante y, que sería la base para que luego sean posibles los procesos re- presentacionales. A partir de los aportes de autores como Heidegger, Dreyfus y Loparic, es que se podría pensar en una matriz de este tipo, la que es previa a la simbolización como tal y se relaciona íntimamente con el concepto desarrollado por Winnicott. En este trabajo se expone en primer lugar los conceptos de manejo y de objetos transicionales, tal cual los desarrolla el autor anteriormente nombrado, luego se desarrolla el aporte teórico de zona intermedia y en un tercer apartado se identifica el plano pre individual en el que se desarrolla el manejo.The main objective of this work is to demonstrate that Winnicott’s concept of hand- ling, is a form of comprehension and knowledge where representation does not interve- ne. The basis for this study is the interrogation about the existence of a primary social matrix that allows the infant to relate to its surrounding reality and that is the source for later representational processes. Taking into account the contributions of several authors such as Heidegger’s, Dreyfus’ and Loparic’s, it becomes possible to talk about a matrix previous to symbolization and closely related to Winnicott’s concept. This work refers in the first place to the concepts of handling and transitional objects. Secondly, it gives an account of the theoretical contribution of the concept of holding environment.
