| Sumario: | This article reflects methodologically on the fieldwork experience within the framework of my research for obtaining the Master’s degree in Social Anthropology and PhD in Geography. Based on the analysis of field notes, three main axes are addressed: 1) the evolution of the research problem, influenced by ethnographic work; 2) the challenges of researching pesticide use in a country with an agro-export model, considering the resistances that emerge when inquiring about pesticides; and 3) the limits, opportunities, and tensions of being a cisgender researcher in a predominantly male context. It is concluded that fieldwork requires a reflexive approach that considers intersectionality (gender, ethnicity, and class) and the construction of social bonds as a way to understand different realities and generate new perspectives. |
