Skarbun, Fabiana raw material sources Lithic studies fuentes de materias primas Estudios líticos fontes de matérias-primas Estudos líticos This dossier brings together works presented at the symposium "From the sources: advances in the studies of selection and supply of rocks and their implications for social practices" carried out within the framework of the 1st Argentine Congress of Lithic Studies in Archeology. The presentations were made in a fruitful framework of discussion of theoretical proposals, methodological approaches, and case studies, which resulted in the seven works published here. The studies allow establishing a series of thematic axes that expose research interests oriented to the archaeological and geological characterization of sources of raw materials, to assess the progress generated from various methodological approaches, and others aimed at investigating production strategies, exchange and interaction implemented by peoples in the past. Este dossier reúne trabajos presentados en el simposio “Desde las fuentes: avances en los estudios de selección y aprovisionamiento de rocas y sus implicancias en las prácticas sociales” realizado en el marco del 1° Congreso Argentino de Estudios Líticos en Arqueología. Las exposiciones fueron realizadas en un fructífero marco de discusión de propuestas teóricas, planteos metodológicos, y casos de estudio, que dieron como resultado los siete trabajos aquí publicados. Los estudios permiten establecer una serie de ejes temáticos que exponen intereses de investigación orientados a la caracterización arqueológica y geológica de fuentes de materias primas, a evaluar los avances generados desde diversas aproximaciones metodológicas, y otros destinados a indagar acerca de las estrategias de producción, intercambio e interacción implementadas por los pueblos en el pasado. Este dossiê reúne trabalhos apresentados no simpósio "Das fontes: avanços nos estudos de seleção e fornecimento de rochas e suas implicações para as práticas sociais" realizadas no âmbito do 1º Congresso Argentino de Estudos Líticos em Arqueologia. As apresentações foram feitas dentro de uma estrutura frutífera de discussão de propostas teóricas, abordagens metodológicas e estudos de caso, que resultaram nos sete trabalhos aqui publicados. Os estudos permitem estabelecer uma série de eixos temáticos que expõem interesses de pesquisa orientados para a caracterização arqueológica e geológica de fontes de matérias-primas, para avaliar o progresso gerado por várias abordagens metodológicas e outras visando investigar estratégias de produção, intercâmbio e interação implementada pelos povos no passado.
