Sumario:Through a two-year longitudinal study of interactions between professors-researchers who are part of the Incentive Program for Research Professors and carry out a S&T project at an argentine national university, we describe how the dynamics between the rhythms of their profiles play a central role both in preventing its compliance, and in constituting a true research team. The results of the study show how their “sayings” and “doings” are marked by a temporary imprint, a rhythm, tied to their teaching or scientific life that is very difficult to join together. The formal times and deadlines that are expected to be met by the program add complexity to this great challenge, which far from being team moments, become controversial points in the agendas of those who participate due to the urgency of having "something to show".
