Lucio Cabañas Barrientos” of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Guerrero, Mexico, and later the I Interinstitutional Meeting ‘Territory, participation and interculturality: experiences from Guerrero, Chiapas and Colombia’, which was held in March 2020 at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City. The institutionalization and internalization of these meetings implied that the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), the National Institute of Anthropology and Latin American Thought (INAPL), the National University of San Martin (Unsam) and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) joined through the Working Group “Education and Interculturality”.

El libro nace en 2019 con el propósito de tejer experiencias de “cooperación y vinculación” con distintas organizaciones sociales y académicas mexicanas y de países de Latinoamérica, y a partir de una serie de eventos previos como son el I Foro Nacional de Pedagogía Crítica “Miradas Educativas Emancipadoras” impulsado por la Cátedra Pensadores del Sur “Cte. Lucio Cabañas Barrientos” de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, México, y posteriormente el I Encuentro Interinstitucional “Territorio, participación e interculturalidad: experiencias desde Guerrero, Chiapas y Colombia”, que se realizó en marzo de 2020 en la Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México. La institucionalización e internalización de estos encuentros, implicó que se sumaran la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), el Instituto Nacional de Antropología y Pensamiento Latinoamericano (INAPL), la Universidad Nacional de San Martín (Unsam) y el Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales (CLACSO) a través del Grupo de Trabajo “Educación e interculturalidad”. O livro nasceu em 2019 com o propósito de tecer experiências de “cooperação e vinculação” com diferentes organizações sociais e acadêmicas do México e de países da América Latina, e a partir de uma série de eventos anteriores, como o I Foro Nacional de Pedagogía Crítica “Miradas Educativas Emancipadoras” (I Fórum Nacional de Pedagogia Crítica “Perspectivas Educativas Emancipadoras”) promovido pela Cátedra Pensadores del Sur “Cte.
