I10-R364-article-412542023-06-01T11:29:08Z Wealth appropriation from the export sector in Argentina (2003-2015) and Bolivia (2006-2019): its impact on inequality La apropiación de riqueza del sector exportador en Argentina (2003-2015) y Bolivia (2006-2019): su impacto en la desigualdad Prol, Agustin Exporters Argentina Bolivia Exportadores Argentina Bolivia rom a Historical Sociology point of view, this article focus on the study of the appropriation of wealth in Argentina and Bolivia, during the administrations of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (2003-2015) and the administration of Evo Morales (2006-2019), respectively. Additionally, the impact of this appropiation on the development of inequality will be also studied. This analysis will be based on the behavior of the exporting sector of manufactures from agricultural origin in Argentina and the exportation of hydrocarbons in Bolivia. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the income of the salaried sector and the profits of the exporters mentioned in the countries and periods of study will be analyzed empirically in a comparative manner. The hypothesis that guides this project is that, although in Argentina, during the Kirchnerist administrations, and in Bolivia, during the administration of Evo Morales, poverty has been reduced and greater parity has been achieved within the working class, the wealth appropriation by the main exporters of manufactures from agricultural origin and of hydrocarbons has not decreased.
