The research has a historical perspective; it addresses from the process of appropriation of the right to the city by the cooperative in the seventies to the threat of forcing them to sell their territory in 2021. The research focuses on updating the conflict over the territory that occurred in 2021, under the scenario of shaping and deepening the neoliberal city project, where structural conditions favor the real estate sector, threatening the right to the city of the cooperative. This process has resulted in the siege against the first housing cooperative in the city, which claims collective ownership of the land and its democratization to inhabit the city. El siguiente artículo aborda el conflicto por el territorio urbano entre la Cooperativa Unión de Palo Alto y el capital inmobiliario, ubicados en la zona de Santa Fe, Ciudad de México. La investigación tiene una perspectiva histórica; aborda desde el proceso de apropiación del derecho a la ciudad por parte de la cooperativa en la década de los setenta hasta la amenaza de obligarlos a vender su territorio en 2021. La investigación se enfoca en la actualización del conflicto por el territorio que se dio en 2021, bajo el escenario de conformación y profundización del proyecto de ciudad neoliberal, donde las condiciones estructurales favorecen al sector inmobiliario, amenazando el derecho a la ciudad de la cooperativa. Este proceso ha redundado en el asedio contra la primera cooperativa de vivienda en la ciudad, quien reivindica la propiedad colectiva del suelo y su democratización para habitar la ciudad.
