In addition, within the framework of the study of the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina during the Brazilian dictatorship specifically in relation to the Cuenca del Plata, and from the new events about the Itaipú conflict between Brazil and Paraguay and the tense relationship between Jair Bolsonaro and Alberto Fernández, it is essential to rethink the link between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay around the topic of development. The objective of this paper is to analyse the knowledge production of the Centro Brasileiro de Relações Internacionais (CEBRI) and the Paraguayan think tank Desarrollo en Democracia (DENDE) on the issue of Itaipú, and observe how this knowledge is put into circulation in the construction of the “political agenda” of the right-wing forces, paying special attention to the representations of Brazilian development and the place in which Brazil is positioned in Latin America.   Este artículo se enmarca en un proyecto mayor que sostiene que los expertos de los think tanks son portavoces de ideas de “cambio” y han contribuido a la elaboración de narrativas sobre “cuestiones socialmente relevantes” y políticamente legitimadas en las urnas. Además, en el marco del estudio de la rivalidad entre Brasil y Argentina durante la dictadura brasileña específicamente en relación a la Cuenca del Plata, y a partir de los nuevos sucesos sobre el conflicto por Itaipú entre Brasil y Paraguay y de la tensa relación entre Jair Bolsonaro y Alberto Fernández, se hace imprescindible volver a pensar el vínculo entre Brasil, Argentina y Paraguay en torno al tópico del desarrollo. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la producción de conocimiento del Centro Brasileiro de Relações Internacionais (CEBRI) y del think-tank paraguayo Desarrollo en Democracia (DENDE) sobre la cuestión de Itaipú, y observar cómo ese conocimiento se pone en circulación en la construcción de la “agenda política” de las fuerzas de derechas, prestando especial atención a las representaciones del desarrollo brasileño y el lugar en que se posiciona a Brasil en América Latina.   Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
