This paper aims to present a state of the affairs on the historiographical study of nationalist movements and national identity in Argentina between 1930 and 1943. From the analysis of the bibliography, the objective is to realize a complex characterization of the variations of use and class appropriations of nationalism in right- wing and left-wing perspectives. As a result, we propose to demonstrate, firstly, that the complexity of the period guards against too agglutinative and static characterizations. Secondly, we will seek to highlight the future importance of a comprehensive review of the role of nationalism and national identity in the left-wing perspectives of the 30s. Este artículo se propone realizar un estado de la cuestión sobre los debates historiográficos dedicados al estudio de los movimientos nacionalistas y de la identidad nacional durante el período 1930 y 1943. A partir de la puesta en diálogo de la bibliografía, el objetivo es realizar una caracterización problematizada delas variaciones de uso y las apropiaciones de clase del nacionalismotanto desde concepciones de derecha como desde visiones de izquierda. De este modo, nos proponemos demostrar, en primer lugar, que, aunque se mantengadesde la organización formal del artículo una escisión entre posturas de derecha y de izquierda, la complejidad del períodoimpide caracterizaciones demasiado aglutinantes y, menos aún, estáticas. En segundo lugar, buscaremos destacar la importancia futura de una revisión integral del papel del nacionalismo y de la identidad nacional en las izquierdas de la década del treinta.
