The sample comprised 183 children from 8 to 13years-old (n = 121 boys; n = 62 without over-age), who attended 3rd- to 6 th -grade in public schools from the city of Mendoza (Argentina). The FACES Test (Thurstone & Yela, 2012) was administered three times during one year to assess the attentional performance. After the implementation of mixed models analyses results showed that children with and without over-age showed different attentional trajectories, and that father education was a predictor of children attentional trajectory. El presente trabajo se propuso analizar las trayectorias atencionales en niños argentinos sin y con extraedad escolar, e identificar factores socioculturales moduladores de tales trayectorias, en base a los niveles educativos y ocupacionales de los padres. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 183 escolares de ambos géneros, de 8 a 13 años (n = 121 niños sin extraedad y n = 62 niños con extraedad), que cursaban de 3º a 6º grado en escuelas de gestión pública de Mendoza (Argentina). Se utilizó el Test CARAS (Thurstone & Yela, 2012) para evaluar el desempeño atencional de los niños, el cual fue administrado tres veces durante un año. A través de la implementación de modelos de análisis mixtos, se observó que los escolares sin y con extraedad presentaron trayectorias atencionales diferentes y que el nivel de la educación paterna fue un factor de relevancia en tanto predijo la trayectoria de la eficacia atencional de los niños.
