Sumario:Abstract The study was focused on evaluating the relationship between experienced violence and depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, somatic complaints, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem and social support. Methodology: Cross-sectional and correlational study with 170 women who sought psychological help. Results: The mean age was 38.5. A weak significant positive correlation was observed between PTSD and psychological violence by control, humiliation, physical and sexual violence. Depression showed a weakly significant correlation with psychological violence by control, humiliation and sexual violence. There was a weak significant negative relation between depression and self-esteem. Conclusion: Significant correlations were found between having suffered violence and symptoms. These results contribute to forensic exercise and psychological intervention. Keywords: abuse; Mental Health; psychological damage; Dominican
