In order to know how was the process that makes possible the entry of psychology to the fields of experimental research, an exploratory research was done, with cases study design, and the techniques used for data collection were the review of historical documents and conducting interviews with people associated to both institutes. It can be concluded that the participation of psychologists in research arises from interdisciplinary work, which allowed the initiation and subsequent consolidation of lines of research in this area. El presente trabajo describe los inicios de las investigaciones de corte psicológico en la ciudad de Córdoba, específicamente las llevadas a cabo en dos institutos: el Instituto de Investigación Médica Mercedes y Martín Ferreyra, y el CINTRA (Centro de Investigaciones y Transferencia en Acústica). Con el objetivo de conocer como fue el proceso que posibilito el ingreso de la psicología a los campos de la investigación experimental, se realizó una investigación exploratoria con diseño de estudio de casos, y las técnicas utilizadas para la recolección de datos fueron la revisión de documentos históricos y la realización de entrevistas en profundidad a personas relacionadas con ambos institutos. Se puede concluir que la participación del psicólogo en investigación surge del trabajo interdisciplinario, lo cual permitió el inicio y la posterior consolidación de líneas de investigación en esta área.
