Wepropose to show this process of resignification ofsocial capital through the example of BishopLascano.In the first place, we will cope with his politicalprofile, considering his changing position, as wellas his ecclesiastical career and his relationships.We will analize how Benito Lascano managed toachieve better positions. Finally, we will focus onhis pastoral activities, trying to identify theaspects the Bishop cared the most, and linking thetwo dimensions, the ecclesiastical and thepolitical one, so that we can discover a possibleinterpretation of the local church and the religiouspractices in Cordoba. El presente trabajo intentará dar cuenta de uno de los fenómenos más comunes del siglo XIX, la reorientación de los capitales individuales -en el sentido que le da Bourdieu a este concepto- con el objetivo de resignificar la propia trayectoria y reubicarse social y políticamente en un mejor lugar. Nuestro propósito es mostrar esta reutilización de recursos y redes a través del ejemplo del Obispo Lascano.Para ello, en primer lugar, nos ocuparemos de su perfil político, considerando su posición cambiante, así como de su carrera eclesiástica y sus vínculos, tratando de observar cómo Benito Lascano fue descubriendo y “adivinando” los intersticios por los que podía ingresar a mejores posiciones. En segundo término, nos detendremos en su labor pastoral identificando las cuestiones que fueron de mayor interés para el Obispo, intentado vincular ambas dimensiones, la pastoral y la política, para descubrir una posible interpretación dela Iglesialocal y la religiosidad en tierras de Córdoba.  Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
