Inside the discourses of the “chaqueño” space it is possible to find the writings of Pedro Lozano and Florián Paucke, between others. The first one, was designated historian of the Company from 1730; he wrote between other works the ‘Descripción Chorográfica del Gran Chaco Gua- lamba’ referred exclusively to the ‘chaqueño’ space. Florián Paucke was missionary in the ‘Mocovíes’ reductions of San Francisco Javier and of San Pedro, from 1749 up to the expulsion of the Company in 1767. His statement ‘Hacia allá y para acá. Una estada entre los indios Mocobíes 1749-1767’, it details different moments of his priestly life. The aim of this work is to analyze how the speeches are constructed in relation to the space, in the works of both Jesuits from the historical statements but also from the record of the missioner life, which has an evident ethnographic perspective. To analyze the mentioned speeches, we propose to realize an historiographic analysis of these works from the social history of the historiography. En la región del Gran Chaco, al igual que en otros espacios geográficos, la escritura jesuítica quedó reflejada en diferentes fuentes. Dentro de los discursos del espacio chaqueño se encuentran los escritos de Pedro Lozano y Florián Paucke, entre otros. El primero fue designado historiador de la Compañía desde 1730; escribió entre otras obras la Descripción Chorográfica del Gran Chaco Gualamba referida exclusivamente al espacio chaqueño. Florián Paucke fue misionero en las reducciones mocovíes de San Francisco Javier y de San Pedro, desde 1749 hasta la expulsión de la Compañía en 1767. Su relato "Hacia allá y para acá. Una estada entre los indios Mocobíes 1749-1767", detalla diferentes momentos de su vida sacerdotal. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar cómo se construyen los discursos en cuanto al espacio, en las obras de ambos jesuitas ya sea desde los relatos históricos o desde el registro de la vida misional, de tinte casi etnográfico. Para analizar los discursos mencionados, nos proponemos realizar un análisis historiográfico de estas obras, encuadrándonos en el campo de una historia social de la historiografía.  Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
